Faint line & Period

Hello! I was 2 days delayed and I decided to take a PT and to my surprise it was a faint line, but then today is my 3rd day and I got my period. I know that it was a period because it was a lot and it has small clots on it. Please enlighten me what is happening. Thank you #confusedmom
