Singaporean Primary School Teacher Commits Suicide After Complaints From Parents
A 44 year old Singaporean man who was working in Taiwan as an English teacher in a primary school committed suicide after allegedly receiving complaints from parents. According to Chinatimes, the man jumped off the 15th floor of the building he lived in at around 12.33am on December 8. He landed on a white car and was found trapped between the driver’s seat and the dented roof with multiple fractures and blood all over his body. Though he was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, he was pronounced dead at 3am. The incident took place at Gushan District, Kaohsiung, a port city in Taiwan. While reports initially stated that he had been dismissed from his teaching position due to parents complaining about the way he handled his students, the school clarified that they although they had received complaints about him, he had not been let go. According to Yahoo Taiwan, the man had sent a final message to his Taiwanese wife that said “愛你一生一世” which roughly translates to “I will love you forever”. They had been married for several years and had moved to Kaohsiung from Singapore just a few months ago.
42 People Sick, 4 Hospitalised After Wedding Banquet Meal
Recently, 42 people became sick with gastroenteritis after going to a wedding banquet at Mandarin Orchard Singapore on Sunday (Dec 2). Many of the affected people, including Counsellor Matthew Tjow’s family, had classic gastroenteritis symptoms, including stomach discomfort, vomiting, fever, dehydration and overall sleeplessness. Four guests have since been hospitalised. The Ministry of Health (MOH), National Environment Agency (NEA) and Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) announced in a joint statement on Wednesday (Dec 5) that investigations regarding the outbreak of gastroenteritis around the hotel’s premises begun on Tuesday (Dec 4). They have tracked the source to be the food prepared at Mandarin Orchard on Sunday, which the patients ate during the banquet. During the investigation, food handlers were told to screen their stools. Food and environmental samples were also obtained for testing. A representative of the hotel further added on Wednesday that hotel staff have contacted ill guests to provide support, assistance and see if they were coping. The hotel has fully cooperated with authorities in their analysis. They say that official findings should be announced soon. According to the representative, hotel staff who were involved in food preparation during the affected banquets were not allowed to return to work until they have finished the required medical tests and given the clear from authorities. This news comes after 131 people got sick with gastroenteritis, including K2 children and teachers, who were attending a learning camp organised by Busy Bees Asia.
Singapore no longer world’s most powerful passport
We love Singapore for a lot of reasons, one of which is visa-free travel to other nations. However, our passport has dropped from the first to second place in the 2018 Passport Index, replaced by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) passport. The Passport Index, created by Global advisory firm Arton Capital, lists the passports of nations in descending order based on how much cross-border access authority they hold. The firm ranks countries by giving them a “visa-free score”, after looking at how many countries a passport gives access to even if they lack a visa (or a visa upon arrival). This year, the UAE scored 167. People with the UAE passport can fly to 113 countries without a visa, and 54 after visa upon arrival. Our island nation scored 166, allowing holders to go to 127 countries without a visa, and 39 for visa upon arrival. Germany tied with Singapore at 166, but was pushed to third place since German passports only let passport holders go to 126 countries without a visa. Another Index, the Henley Passport Index, also put Singapore in second place after it released its analysis on October this year. Based on the Henley Passport Index, the Singapore passport was beaten by the Japanese passport, previously in 13th place based on this Index.

Divorce
I'm thinking of divorce frm hubby. We don't see eye to eye anymore. He lies to me, hides things. Doesn't Wana save up in our savings or kids. Still Wana enjoy drinking with his frens. Doesn't Wana bring me along. I think he only love our kids. The love between us has long died off. Doesn't help with housework much. Only wen he did something wrong n Wana make amends temporarily. Change is within ourselves. We're both hard headed. Wat for retain this kind of marriage if it's full or arguments, negativity. I know I play a part too. But we disagree on so many things even teaching our kids he doesn't Wana help but scolds me if I bring out the cane. But he gives money every month to me but dats it. Too ego n thinks he's a king with the way he was brought up- pampered. We went counseling b4 n they say its teamwork but he is bent on his way. So am I. Wat do u think??
Preparing Shanayah for her Sister In January.
Shanayah, my soon to be 2yrs old is expecting a baby Sister in January. She has started to be protective of her mummy and has been by her side whenever mummy is around. Came to a point where even daddy was not allowed to be close to mummy. Time to put a stop to it and let her realise that she will not be forgotten. This is what I have been doing for the last 2 months. 1) Constantly remind her that there is a baby in mummy’s tummy. A new Friend for her to play with but mummy needs to see to new baby THEN to Shanayah .( Breastfeeding) 2) Get her to talk to Baby in the tummy whenever daddy is talking to baby too. 3) Let her help out in choosing clothes and toys for little Sister. 4) Buy at least 1 item for her whenever we buy stuff for No2 so Shanayah don’t feel left out. Hope this helps Fathers who are in my shoes.

Everyone deserves an happy ending... really?
I confess. I am almost giving up on searching for happy endings. Had a few losses in the past, first love, bffs, husband, rebounds, second chances... it just doesn’t seem to work out. I stop blaming others and decide to look deep into the mirror thinking that i might the problem. I realised that the flaws that i have is to hard for them to understand let alone accept. Oh trust me i did changed for the better, to be a better wife, a more understanding girlfriend, a reliable bff and problem-free lady but then I realised i am living someone else’s happy ending. ......Where is mine? So i dropped everything. Confused missing boyfriend (he went off hiatus with a reason that he needs to think ?), unfamiliar faces, unknown men and even dating apps. Shut them all and stay still. Just silence. I realised.... that i am happy ?..
