How's experience in kkh amniocentesis?

2nd preg ,32yrs old. Doc recommend do due to detailed scan nose bone cannot see, short and hand bone #askmommies is Abit shorter than normal range. Brain have two bubble. Though I see online says bubble will dissolve on it own .. and hand leg bone will grow afterwards. Nipt is low risk.. now need go through amniocentesis.. #pregnancy

For things like choroid plexus cysts (“brain bubbles”), many doctors did tell me they often resolve on their own, especially if NIPT is low risk. Shorter limb measurements can also catch up later, but because there are multiple soft markers, the doctors usually recommend amnio just to be thorough and give peace of mind. It’s a scary decision emotionally, but for me, having a clear answer helped a lot with anxiety. KKH also has genetic counsellors who are very patient and supportive — don’t hesitate to ask all your questions.

Recently went through amniocentesis. It took an hour at most with alot of pain (for me) and payment upfront. It's a large needle straight into the abdomen to the amniotic sac. Recommended to not look just small breaths and tahan the pain and keep still. I met another patient who failed amnio and had to do another procedure the day after but she was super cool while I was panicking. So maybe won't be so bad for u 😔
