Tumeric root & curcumin

I had a miscarriage and was recommended to take tumeric root extract to recover from the bleeding. Been taking it for slightly more than a month and now trying to conceive again. Anyone knows if taking tumeric root & curcumin hinder pregnancy chances?

I have read somewhere that turmeric and curcumin may cause changes in your uterine lining. To be on the safe side, I would speak to a gynae if it’s advisable to continue. I think having turmeric in food is ok, but I personally wouldn’t risk taking supplements.

TTC and COVID-19 vaccine

Hi, is it fully safe ttc and while unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated yet? The recommended period to start ttc is 1 month after the 2nd dose but I would like to know if there’s anyone who is ttc while still on the 1st dose or just finished their 2nd dose? I would like to hear your thoughts pls as I’m ttc but not sure if the vaccine would be safe for this period?

This advisory has changed. There’s no evidence that the vaccine affects fertility. It’s safe and you don’t have to avoid pregnancy or attempts to conceive. I know of several women who got pregnant in between doses and their pregnancy is fine. (i work in healthcare)

according to my first day of last menses, the pregnancy is not exactly 10weeks. my 2nd round of chexk. 2 weeks ago, baby is 3.3cm. today 4.1 but still no heartbeat yet. Doc ask to come back next week. I am worried if the baby will grow to 7cm because the doc say babies should have heartbeat by then. if not, they worry its a failed pregnancy. Im pushing for 2weeks but was advise to come back in 1week to monitor growth. baby should grow in length. anyone experience this? I had a chemical pregnancy and had early miscarriage in nov. So naturally, my emotions are running a lil high.

Hey mama, Just wanted to say - do find the time to relax and breathe too. Feeling stressed and worried may not be the best. Oftentimes, we imagine the worst. Try distracting yourself with things that keep you happy :) I may not have experienced what you’re going through. But sending lots of love to you :)

Irregular period after miscarriage 6 months ago.

I’ve had a miscarriage in jan’21, and had been trying to conceive. And went to TCM to 调整 (fix) the period window which I’m having like 40-41 days cycle since the MC. This round, I had random spotting since ytd and today another few spots. Should I try the pregnancy kit , or wait for a few days? The estimated based on 40-41 days cycle, is for period to start on 10 jul.

You can test if you want to. No harm anyway. If no result then wait for another 1-2 wks after 10jul. As your body hcg might not be high enough to be detected.

Conceiving after covid-19 vaccine.

How long should couples wait after completing 2 doses of covid-19 vaccine before trying for a child?

the official advice is there’s no need to wait or avoid pregnancy after vaccination (i work in healthcare)
