Hi I'm looking for group activities to enhance social and brain development for my 10month old baby. May I know where can I find this kind of activities for free in Singapore? Something like babyjam or playing music instruments? Probably organised by CC or library?

Play dates at other people's houses are a great way for both parent and child to socialise. Reading story books, playing music to them helps their development.

Is it necessary to send my child to pre-school at 2-3yo? If not is there any disadvantages? Like hard to catch up the syllabus compare to others. Thinking to send her directly to K1.

I was told by the teachers that there is a difference between kids who went to Sch at very young age and at older age. Kids whom went in is much more independent. At later stage, falls sick less frequently (immune to most germs in Sch).

using phonics. the kids learn phonics in Nursery one. so using phonics, it's easier to teach them spelling..

Hello! I would like to start preparing teachers' day gift for my child's childcare. May I know how are the other parents preparing? 1) do you prefer for all the teachers including kitchen help? 2) what's the budget?

I usually give stationary n cupcakes to the teachers . nowadays alot of personalise stuffs. u can personalise a pouch or maybe pencil case for them with their names :)

My K2 boy have problem in recognizing words. what should I do ?

Das is not helping and very expensive too lessons is about 800-900 need to go three lesson and price going up to 2500-3000 only help if your children is quit chinese.

My 2yo son does not seem to be too social. He cries when he meets new people and doesn't want to play with other kids his age. What is happening? Is this normal?

Yep it's normal! 2yo is a age where they start to have stranger anxiety
