Second Pregnancy

Hi mom, recently just found out if I pregnant 5weeks, try to make appt to do usg scan but nurse clinic said need to wait until 6weeks to see clearly. But feel anxious and clueless cause feel not sure, eventhou this is my second pregnancy 😄 think want to find gynae from Mount A & give birth there, cause 3years ago Mount a slightly cheaper than Thomson & I like the ambience of the hospital also. but, i saw online, seems Mount A become more expensive than Thomson 🤣 anyone recently went to Mount A or Thomson? otherwise, anyone hv experience with gynae from Mount A to recommend for Csect? still in confuse with a few gynae, like Dr Adrian Tan (avail after 25th feb), Dr Liana Koe, Dr Irene Chua, Dr Caroline Khi, Dr Candice Wang. Anyone with them? This time, want to have gynae who hv more emphatic, kind, care to their patients. #Needadvice sorry for long post🙏🏻

Dr Liana Koe is very assuring. I always feel much better after walking out from her clinic. She also doesn’t enforce you to buy supplements from her clinic, etc. ask you save the $.

Early pregnancy just 45 days

Hi All, just today confirmed my pregnancy..this very first time hearing this word of positive after so many negatives.i just want to know wat are foods I can eat n can't eat for 1st trimester.can any one pls share n guide me thanks in advance

Hi 🙋‍♀️ congrats and Godbless, enjoy 😉 eating whatever you like at a moderate level. Avoid pineapple and papaya. Wen vomiting starts you can’t eat much either. Every night drink hot milk 🥛 before going to bed it helps you n baby.

Conceiving after miscarriage

Hi, anyone had test done before trying after a miscarriage? I had 2 miscarriage and am contemplating whether shld i take any blood test/checks before i try again. My gynae said that 99% of the time blood test will come back ok.. Need advise. Thanks

Mostly gynae will recommend testing only if there has been 3 or more misscarriages

Dried white papaya safe?

Helppp abt a month pregnant in my first semester & its my first time experiencing nausea really bad than my two previous pregnancies, anyone knows if consuming white dried papaya is safe or has any other recommendations pls

heard not good to consume too much papaya, pineapple. a little bit should be fine. for nausea maybe can try eating other fruits or orange peel, sour plum sweets etc.

Depressed 1st trimester

Hi mummies, it’s my first pregnancy and I’m in my 1st trimester close to 6weeks now. Is it normal to have depressed thoughts? I have never felt this way before pregnancy but recently I just keep having negative depressing thoughts. I keep telling myself to keep my mind strong for the baby.

Yesssss. I was depressed thruout the whole pregnancy and felt very lonely.

Oral antibiotics for GBS

Hi mummies! I just got tested positive for GBS infection. I understand we will get a IV drip antibiotics during labour. My gynae has also prescribed oral antibiotics amoxicillin for me to eat now - is this normal and necessary?

Hi there, yes. I was also given oral antibiotics. Once admit to hospital, the nurses will give the drip throughout the labour. Remember to inform the nurses upon admission.

FTS intermediate risk

I just got a call from KKH genetic counsellor that my FTS results came back as intermediate risk (1 in 340). I will be doing the NIPT test tomorrow, but I don't know how I can get through waiting another 2 weeks for the results. I forgot to ask what caused the higher risk but I will ask tomorrow. My NT measurement is 2.2mm and I am 30 this year. Anyone had the same experience of getting intermediate risk for FTS? I know it's not high risk but I'm still so worried.

i also been through the same thing, the NIPT is 99% accuracy so will be able to bring the risk down. Don’t worry mummy! All be good!
