can i miss last few checkup?

Hi im 37 weeks pregnant. Just had another check up at kkh subsidized and the doctor now ask me to come in weekly previously was every 2 weeks. I feel its really a waste of money to come for checkup since its any time now. Can i miss the appointment and just wait till im about to give birth. Im also financially not so stable...

Not recommended as the doctor still need to monitor the heartbeat and kicks movements as well to ensure baby is developing well.

14 days Post IUI. Bleeding after having a faint positive pregnacy test

Anyone had period like but light flow bleeding after a faint positive pregnancy test? Please advise if this this implantation bleeding? Today is day 14 post IUI treatment. Faint positive pregnancy test was between 10 dpo and 11dpo. Bleeding started at 14 dpo.

Looks like it. Continue to test using pregnancy test kit for the next few days to make sure the line is getting darker! If you’re the kanchiong type like me, can go clinic and request for beta-HCG blood test every 2 days to check your HCG levels are doubling or more. Congratulations and good luck!

Shortness of breath

Hi mummies, I’m a first-time mummy currently 33 weeks pregnant and looking for some advice. Lately, I’ve been experiencing shortness of breath along with a feeling of mucus or phlegm clogging my airways. It’s really hard to clear and makes me feel uncomfortable, especially when I’m walking or trying to concentrate at work. My nose also feels quite stuffy. Has anyone else experienced this in late pregnancy? Is it safe to use a nasal rinse or saline spray to relieve this kind of congestion? I’m considering asking my OBGYN, but I’d love to hear if others have gone through the same and what helped you feel better.

Hi Mummy, I am a premiee mum but I had the similar experience closure to my preterm labour. The Dr & Nurses at NUH suggested saline solution to be a safer choice to expel the phlegm / mucus. Just note that it didnt help me though. What helped me was plenty of hydration and steam inhalation. You can also try to get plenty of rest while keeping your head elavated while sleeping. Hope this helps.

What happens during GD test appointment at KKH?

Can anyone give me a walkthrough like how long to wait after the drinking of that orange drink and what happens next? Like i remembered there’s 2 times waiting till the consultation with the dr. (For KKH subsidised route)

I just had my GD test this week. Fasting starts at 12am the night before. 1st blood test: fasting (no food and drinks, water is allowed) 2nd: 1hr after drinking the orange drink 3rd: 2hr after drinking the orange drink Doctor consultation for mine was directly after I took the 2nd blood test (it varies clinic to clinic). The blood test result will be out on the same day. If you are tested positive for GD (as long there is 1 blood test result which is high) the nurse will call you the next day to arrange for session on how to improve the blood sugar results with diet and exercise. Hope this helps.

Gum during pregnancy

Hi! I was wondering if any pregnant mummy have pain in their gums? Maybe like a sore gum.. I’m currently on my early stage of pregnancy.. And also how do u resolve it and any recommendations to apply on sore gums?

yes, my gum was sore. it went away after a few days.
