Anyone knows Dr. Henry Cheng ( obgyn) at Mount E Novena?

I have been transferred to this obgyn as my initial obgyn won’t be in town for my delivery. Have any of you been his patient or heard of him? Is he pro natural birth? Or does he suggest episiotomy? I’m vouching for a natural birth with minimum procedures unless it’s medically required 😓

Hi!! He is my current OB 😊 For meeting him twice, my feedback is, He is very accommodating, knowledgeable, and funny! He make sure you are comfortable of everything. And I think he is a pro natural birth, since he asks me not to eat a lot so the baby wont grow that much 😅

Breastmilk decreasing at 1 month

My baby is 1 month and my milk seems to be lesser and decreasing. Is it because baby on fomula? I tried to direct latch but baby fusses so add on fomula. I even took fenugreek but same. Should i be sad? What cn i do? Pls help

Fenugreek does not work for everyone, some may find that fenugreek decreases their supply drastically. Do you pump? (Since you mentioned baby don’t seem to take direct latch well) Our milk works on demand and supply, if you don’t remove the milk diligently, you’re signalling your body that you don’t need supply. So if direct latch does not work for you, try pumping even when baby is on formula. If you made up your mind that you want to provide bm, you have to pump diligently or latch (can engage LC to correct the latch). If your milk is too thick, try sunflower lecithin to thin out the milk. Don’t need to feel sad. Slowly build up and you’ll eventually get there. Don’t stress, just remember regardless of whatever milk is it, as long as baby is fed well, it’s good milk. Stress is a milk killer. I also mix feed baby back then while I build up my supply as well. Your doctor will be able to advice you either C Section/Induce. Pregnancy for mummies can hold up to maximun of 43 weeks only. Any further will be a risk for baby/mother.

Does any mom share how to feed the RID WIND baby drop?

I tried to feed my baby Rid wind baby drop. But whenever I drop into my son's mouth, he cried and he dont like the taste. I'm not sure if I feed it wrongly. How shld I go about it. #colic #4week

Postpartum Cough

Hi. Am currently 11 days postpartum (caesarean). Nursing a bad/itchy/dry/tickle cough. Besides the pain from coughing with the abdomen and wound from caesarean, I’m also refraining from eating lozenges and other medications cuz breastfeeding newborn. Any safe remedies or similar experiences with this?

Crying and crying

Non stop even after checking everything Even after cuddling, start again Im really at a lost and at my breaking point since day 1. Even tried to leave her in the room for 10mins to cry it out and just stay alone in another by myself... After goimg back, the fuss repeats again.....

Maybe she’s in discomfort? Stomach wind? It’s very normal to feel overwhelmed as a new mom without help. It is totally okay for babies to cry for awhile but please don’t leave her unattended to cry it out for so long. I understand where you’re coming from and I’ve been in your situation as well (except that I cry with her while pacifying her lol!). Try pacifier, yaolan, swaddling or white noise (search on YouTube)? It will get better, just have to learn and read their “pattern”. Jiayou mama!

Constipation after vaginal delivery

Gave birth in kkh and they prescribed me with oral liquid paraffin. Helps to soften stools but it would be a little sticky. Hope this helps! Drink more water too ya

Have you check with your Gyane? 40 wks should give birth soon. I gave birth 3 days ago at KKH, 37 wks+.
