Monsterous Hunger

Im only week 5 preggy but so ravenous every second. I am still extremely hungry even after inhaling a bowl of BCM or a plate of rice. I could even eat 4 slices of bread right after! Pls tell me it’s normal or I am just greedy? No morning sickness too.

Same here mamas!! My breakfast is always 4 course 🥹🥹

Recommendations for SGH obstetrician doctor

Im currently 13th weeks pregnant and previously got referred from polyclinic under (subsided pt). Been to SGH O&G check twice. However, both consultations were seen by different young doctors who did not share a lot of information with me. I heard there're antenatal care packages (10 months scan & Class ward, delivery package etc) given for some people. Wondering if I can select my own doctor? How should I go about? #firsttimemom #Needadvice

You want to select your own gynae, you have to contact the clinic and ask to change to a private route instead. Subsidies entails different dr every appt up to delivery. While private, you see the same gynae throughout.

9w FTM here. From last week, I started developing this itchy rash on my breasts, it runs down the side of my waist, and some on my back. I have got a few spots on my left wrist too. Don't know what's going on as I didn't eat anything new, or change shower gel. I have seen a polyclinic doctor today who said it doesn't look like dust allergy, and asked me to go back next week to be seen by a dermatologist. Anyone has the same issue? I never had eczema before.

Tongue sensation

Anyone feeling like your tongue is dry and feels like it's scalded (but i havent been eating soup that are extremely hot) In the day, the sensation is ok. But it gets more dry throughout the day. What do you do with it?

What to eat? 😅

I'm 7w2d now, first time mummy. Everyday I feel hungry, not satisfied, but I simply don't have any appetite 😕 Breakfast I will take bread or hard boiled eggs and milo. Lunch sometimes yong tau foo soup, wanton mee, chicken rice, braised duck teochew porridge. Dinner, my appetite is non existent. 😭 sometimes I just steam some buns or take biscuits just so I don't get gastric. Any suggestions what healthy satisfying food can eat? I ate filet o fish, fries with 4 pc nuggets one day because I was so hungry and needed something strong and flavourful but I feel so guilty after eating.

I am 9w4d now, but I felt the same when I was 7 or 8 weeks. always hungry but cannot eat much, very bloated. my husband would get me ABC soup and it helps to settle my stomach and I can eat a little better after. I would also drink milk or eat bread when i cannot eat much, at least something is going in. It really helps to eat many small meals a day instead of 3 proper meals. I am eating about 5 times a day, breaking up lunch and dinner into 2 smaller portions each. Helps me to take in more food and nutrition without feeling so nauseous or bloated. I like fruits as a sweet treat now. Don't feel bad about mcdonalds, I eat maggi too and it makes me feel satisfied and happy for a while. I read that in early stages, the baby will take whatever it needs from the mother, and as long as you are not severely malnourished and you are taking your vitamins, it shouldn't impact the baby very much. Just eat the mcdonalds and maggi in moderation and should be OK. It gets better, I'm now able to tell when I need to eat and when to stop. I am starting to enjoy my meals again. hang in there!

Diarrhoea twice!

I am now week 6 n just saw my baby’s heartbeat this week. However, I had two bouts of Diarrhoea within two days. My nxt doc appt is week 8. Should I be worried & trigger another doc’s visit or just wait until week 8? I always thought I will be a chill mum but looks like not 🥹

if you are worried, it's better to go and check, instead of waiting 2 more weeks in anxiety. I hope you already feel better now.

Hi all, I am w6d4 and went to a private gynae cuz I had morning diarrhoea followed by slight bleeding. He scanned me saying the baby is still there but placement is quite low. Administrated a progesterone jab too. 2 hrs after I rched home, my entire pad was soaked with blood with a chunk of clot! Shortly, another two chunks of clots plonked down the toilet bowl. I am scheduled to visit the gynae nxt Monday. Am I out? Can’t stop crying!😭
