Can you take soya milk with calcium tablets?
I googled and found out that soya milk has some iron. Iron cannot be taken with calcium as it will inhibit absorption. Likewise some maternal milk also has iron. #advicepls
Subsidised to private!
Hi, how do you change from subsidised patient to private at KKH?
Subsided NUH
Hi! Has anyone gotten HL before popping through subsidised NUH?
Glucose test
My GD test is coming up in the next few days and I’m feeling very anxious. Just super curious about the drink and worried I’m unable to keep it down. I heard it is super sweet. But what is the consistency of the drink like? Is it thick like syrup or is it thinner like water consistency but just sweet?
Quit work during pregnancy
Any mummies quit their job during your pregnancy? Care to share your experience? TIA. I’m currently at 24weeks+ and I’m very tempted to quit due to lack of motivation. Furthermore I have no more annual leave or sick leave. Want to quit so badly but it’ll mean that I won’t have any income during my maternity leave. And I won’t qualify for any working mom subsidy anymore. Life feels so stagnant and shitty now. I know I shouldn’t be saying this but I don’t know if I made the right choice to keep the baby in the first place. Baby is so innocent.
Bedrest under sub
Anybody asked for bedrest under subsidies route, due to pelvic pain (cant walk too much and difficulties standing up after lie down or sitting down)?
Maternal milk
Any of you talking maternal milk? If yes why , if no why? :)
Working mummies
Any mummies stopped working halfway through your pregnancy? Last week I was admitted to hospital due to suspected preterm labour and was given hospital leave of 7 days. Just when I’m ready to go back to work, I suddenly developed fever and flu and tested positive for covid, thus another 5 days of mc. I usually have to take leave once or twice a month for my antenatal check ups. I have maxed out all my leaves and I don’t know what to do anymore. My manager told me that there will be consequences if I start taking unpaid leave. I’m only 24 weeks, heard that there will be many more checks to do when approaching EDD. But I don’t have any more leave to take. Am I suppose to quit? If I quit now will there be any places that will hire me since I’m approaching third trimester already? Will anything happen if I skip all these appointments? As my husband is only earning less than 1.5 a month, our plan is to rely on my income during maternity leave. If I quit then we have to figure out ways to stretch the dollar and I am extremely stressed out about that. Any mummies with similar experiences? Appreciate your sharing.
Sick for a few days
I’ve been down with what seems like a sinus infection (sinus backflow causing sore throat). No fever but very bad blocked/ runny nose. And I have been taking runny nose meds provided by my gynae cuz runny nose was one of my 1st trimester symptoms. Should I still see a GP? Hubby came home with a flu bug (not Covid) last week with slight fever and all flu symptoms but have since recovered. May have caught it from him and reason why it is still controlled (no fever) maybe because I already took influenza jab. But should I still see a GP for a peace of mind?
