Baby fell asleep when feeding

My baby fell asleep many times during feeding. Sometimes she don't wake up even burp her or shake her gently to wake her up. In the end, I have to pour away the milk and it's such a wastage. If I don't feed her, she will cry. But I admit sometimes I can't tell if she is hungry or just cranky and want to sleep. What should I do? Is this normal?#pleasehelp #FTM

it takes awhile to get used to bb’s cues, it’s normal for babies to sleep during feed. you can pour out lesser and probably stand by another bottle for next feed instead?

Should i give up breastfeeding?

Baby is just pass 1 month old. Confinement nanny has left and i do not have additional help (no relatives available and due to space and finances, unable to hire FDW). Husband works in office and mainly cares for elder child after work. Feeling overwhelmed as baby usually not willing to latch on as my supply is low. On average i need 3 pump sessions to get enough for baby's 1 feed. 1) Should i just stop attempting to breastfeed/pump? 2) Any suggestions for hiring help other than FWD and those who charge by the hr?

I suggest can do mix feeding. Feed BM and then add on FM for every feed. Breastfeeding took a toll on my mental so I just did whatever that made me feel happier. As long as baby is safe.

Breastfeeding and alcohol

I’ve drank 2 jugs of beer at a bar earlier.. I’m currently exclusively pumping milk and feeding my baby. I will Be pumping and dumping the milk but when will the milk be “ok” to feed my baby?

I would drink after pump then the next pump session (3hours) should be safe for consumption. But of course it depends on how much you drank. If you’re sober enough (not wasted), it should be alright cause by the time the content passes thru your body, the percentage in your bm is actually very very minimal. Alternatively, you can pump and do milk bath for baby if you don’t feel safe enough to feed.

Do you let baby poop by himself?

As a FTM, I wonder if I should let baby poop on her own or 'force' her to poop everyday? Must I take stock how many times she poop per day? How many times should baby poop per day? Feeling kinda stressed because I don't know if baby refuse to poop or there is no poop? Do you all 'force' baby to poop?#pleasehelp #advicepls #FTM

Is gripe water effective for your baby?

My MIL says not safe as there are chemicals ...but I know many mothers are feeding their kids so I don't see how dangerous it is? Maybe just a question of effective or not?#pleasehelp #advicepls

3 week old baby breathing hard and sounds phlegmy

My LO seems to be breathing hard during feeding and sleeping and sounds like she has a lot of phlegm in her throat. No fever and sometimes sweating. Can anyone advise please 🥺#advicepls #pleasehelp #FTM

Had the same issue. Phlegmy. No cough or flu. Doctor said its normal for newborn. But my baby not sweating. Best to check for confirmation

I’ve used the CDA card at the polyclinic’s pharmacy to get diaper creams and stuff. Was wondering if the pharmacy sells diapers/milk powder, can we also use the card since it’s within the pharmacy? The counter staff told me if baby related, can be used but I’m not sure for milk powder and diapers 😅

You may wish to ask. However as I am aware it is for educational purpose and medical only.
