Medicated oil for gassiness

In first tri and apples and oranges are my best friend for morning sickness. But stomach still feels very gassy at times. Any mummies using certain medicated oils to relieve gassiness? Is yuyee oil okay?

Bleeding during 1st trimester

I’m currently about 6 weeks pregnant. Had pink spotting this morning when I went to pee. Then during noon time, had abit of red/brown bleeding. Should I go to A&E? Do I need to be hospitalized?

go see a gynae for some medication to stop the bleeding. Hospital a&e won't admit you unless you're severely dehydrated from vomiting

How long does it take to schedule an appointment at NUH via referral letter from polyclinic?

Im currently at 8 weeks pregnant and I am worried I will miss the chance to do some tests that can only be done during 1st trimester. Have not gone for any pre-natal appointment as I only found out I am pregnant at 7 weeks. This is my first time being pregnant after trying for 4 years and I am worried if pregnancy is viable or not. I have been consuming over the counter folic acid from watsons, 500mg + 800mg, is that too much? Thank you!

You can call NUH and get a consultation as a private patient. It will cost more but a doctor will see you sooner. Good luck!

How much folic acid is prescribed by your gynae for the first trimester ? Mine prescribed 1700 mcg per day. Is it normal ?

mine is 900mcg but it's included in the multivitamin so not as much as yours. Since it's your gynae who prescribed it to you then just take as instructed

How to get a doctor's appointment for accurate reading of how far along in pregnancy?

I recently found out Im pregnant from doing blood test but the blood test does not indicate how many weeks I am along. This is my first time experiencing and I've asked chat gpt, from date of my LMP, I should be 7weeks but I don't know how accurate is that. So, should I get a doctor's appointment to find out? How does a doctor find out? Through ultrasound scan? Thank you very much!

Get yourself an appointment with the OBGYN (not GP). Usually they’ll start seeing you from Weeks 8 onwards so now’s a good time to start looking which OBGYN you want :) your fetus may be too small for normal ultrasound to detect so likely they’ll do a transvaginal ultrasound during early pregnancy to see your fetus.
