6 weeks no fetal pole/heartbeat

Hi, I just did a scan at KKH @ EPAU unit... 6 weeks can't see fetal pole/heartbeat... is this normal? Dr. mentioned its still to early and requested for another 2 weeks to confirm? Is this normal?

Yes this is normal. Gynae usually can check for heartbeat from week 8 onwards. Sometimes it’s too early to check as it’s only a yolk sac. If you are still worried, you can go to another clinic for another scan and get advice from another gynae.

Hi mummies! I have a bald spot that I always cover up with brown hair powder! The brand I use is Jenny house Korea. Has anyone also used it during pregnancy? Is it safe to use? I’m currently 8 weeks 5 days. Only occurred to me this morning that the powder might not be suitable for use during pregnancy and now I’m concerned it will bring harm to my fetus or cause defects during development. Thanks!

Heartburn and gastric pains

Anyone feeling heartburns and gastric pains in the upper tummy during 4-5 weeks in pregnancy?

Yes this is normal, especially so if you have morning sickness. Do speak to your gynae.

How to manage constipation?

Am in week 4 - week 5 of pregnancy and I realised that I'm getting constipation even though I'm eating lesser (due to the feel of full) and more balanced meals but stil having constipation and abit gassy/bloated. I do also drink plenty of water. Any useful remedy to manage constipation and the bloated feeling?

Private. Under subsidised, you cannot choose gynae.

7weeks pregnant

Im 7weeks pregnant. Still no baby heartbeat. Is it normal?

Did your gynae said anything after the check up? If you are worried, you can arrange another appointment with another gynae and ask for advice.

What to expect for the first hospital appointment after finding out that you have conceived?

For mine, just ultrasound > take multivamins > done. All the way till before giving birth, same routine (other than detailed scan).

What are your Antenatal Packages like (private hospital)?

Doing my research on antenatal packages. Currently expecting first baby at 6 weeks so haven't seen a gynae yet probably will wait till 8 weeks. Anyone have experience with Parkway east hospital or any other private hospitals?

Gave birth at Gleneagles. The nurses there are very nice and helpful. Food are yummy too.

A little sharp pain

Hi mummies, I’m having a little sharp pain on my left stomach. Wondering is it normal?

i'm experiencing the same too sometimes. it says because our womb is expanding or something idk just keep a lookout for any spotting and tell ur gynae
