Tips for doing long haul flight during second/third trimester?

Any mummies have gone on long haul flights during second/third trimester and survived? Will be doing a daunting flight to the US for work soon and would really love to know some tips to survive the long haul flight. Please share your survival tips if any! Thanks in advance! :)

Buy good compression tights for pregnant woman, all the way to the waist. Keep hydrated, keep moving your legs, get up to walk up and down the aisle often.

Flu vaccine and whooping vaccine. Necessary?

Hi mummies, doctor recommended to take flu vaccine (anytime) and whooping vaccine at 16 weeks and above during pregnancy. It's optional but just want to hear opinions here if it's really necessary? Thanks in advance!

I didn’t take it (scared of needles). My gynae told me it’s optional and up to me. Baby and mummy both healthy.

Vomiting 3times/day at wk13 and feeling cold

Did anyone experience this at wk13? Is it normal? The last few days I’ve been vomiting maybe only once/twice depending on the food I eat. But today it got worse and was just vomiting meal after meal. Do I have hyperemesis?

I’ve been vomiting and belching almost everyday since week 8 or so. It only gets slightly better once I hit 2nd trimester

I had failed the fasting test. The others 2 passed. Is this consider as GD? My 1st pregnancy failed 1st and 3rd. This is my 2nd pregnancy, it fail 1st one only. So far haven receive any call yet.

MIL is nice but …

Both my PIL treats me well. In fact they keep highlighting to my husband that he has to take good care of me. But there are times when what they say kinda offend me. Things like “hopefully the baby (unborn) will look like my son” or MIL “my daughter and son look like me. Later my granddaughter will look like me”. These are also said in front of their friends and they just agree with the typical “ya loh”. Am I being too sensitive? Not being arrogant but I’d think I’m prettier compared to my husband.

Hahah I think they don’t mean anything bad. Some elderly just don’t think before they talk (my mil too). In fact my baby girl does look like my grandmother instead of my parents and they also share the same birthday! ☺️ Baby’s looks will change everyday, so even if they look like anyone else other than you, their looks will still continue changing. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling cause afterall it’s our kid and we definitely want them to look like us. My husband has pretty double eyelids while I had inner double (as good as single) so I prayed that baby will inherit his eyes instead of mine…. But reality is always a joke, baby’s eyes took after me (baby had double eyelids when she was born but as she grows, its gone) while everything else took after her dad 🤨. I had double eyelid surgery done btw, so when baby is out, my mil made a joke and said “at least hers (baby) is natural double.” I just agreed and said lucky lor. But after few months even when baby’s eyes became single she didn’t mention anymore so I’m good. I inherited my dad’s strong signature single eyelids (in fact every kid and grandkid of his did even if their spouse has double) instead of my mom’s, end up also went for double eyelid surgery HAHAH. Just ear in ear out will do, end of the day as long as baby is well loved and healthy will do 😊.

Private ob recommendation at KKH

Hi mommies, any recommendation for private OB at KKH? Currently at 9 weeks and using subsidy from polyclinic to KKH (no preferred doctor) but plan to change to KKH private. Thank you in advance.

Coughing in pregnancy

Hi, will persistent cough cause harm to my baby? I have been coughing for 2weeks now. Been taking meds but doesn't help. It gets worse at night and causing me too have leakage.
