Hiring confinement nanny for cny~ is there any real difference between certified or 3 stars or 6 stars Nannies? Is Confinement angels more recommended than PEM?

Essential items for /after giving birth

I know there will be a baby fair coming in Aug and pre-order is next week. I found some checklists online but quite a long list. I would to seek advice from experienced mothers on the essential items to purchase in preparation for giving birth and first 2-3 months after giving birth. Also from your experience, which of these essential items do you advise to buy pre-loved items instead of brand new? Thank you 🙏

Mummy: Kotex Overnight panties (Optional) Breast pump (Optional if DL, good to have) - Preloved/new is fine, just replace new parts. Nipple cream/nipple wipes - Optional, new Baby: Clothings (Onesies/sleepsuits/booties/swaddle cloth/mittens) - Hand me downs Bath towel/burp cloth - New Cot/strollers/car seats - Preloved/new Stroller fan - Optional (New) Cot mattress - new I personally cosleep with baby on my bed so cot is useless for the first few months, only started using when she started rolling. Baby carrier - New Baby detergent/liquid cleanser (bottles)/baby bath & lotion (Using Kodomo & Cetaphil baby) Oral wipes (Used NUK & Rico) UV steriliser - Optional, preloved just replace the lamp will do. (Using Haenim) Pacifier - Optional (New) Pigeon cotton balls Above is a few items which I used for the first few months (other than cot & car seat). Don’t stock too much, just buy as baby grows, even if you decided to change brands also no issues 😊

Hi mommies !just wanna check with you all ,do you thinknits necessary to pick a specific gynae ?

My mil has been asking me to choose this specific gynae in nuh DR CHITRA cuz of experience and nice stitching .but me and hubby think all gynaes would be experienced to handle us right?need opinions please!

It depends on individual. I personally prefer recommendations by close friends or family who went thru it themselves rather than hearsay. There are cases of bad gynaes too… 😅

Excessive saliva

Hi mommies have any of u encounter excessive saliva that u have to bring the spitting cup everywhere u go? It's kinda annoying for me and this is my 4th pregnancy. I do vomit but not as often and this excessiva saliva is driving me crazy eventhough i have tried alot of things to keep it down. Pls help

For me, I used up a lot of tissues 😅

Covid at 13 weeks

Is it ok to consume paracetamol 3 times a day? This is my second day and the pain is unbearable and i know i need it.

yes it’s fine, as long as you don’t exceed 4 times a day

Will the fetus be affected when mother is often angry and sad?

Rubella antibody reactive

Any mummies was tested covid positive during their first 3 months of pregnancy? Did a blood test/harmony test(?) during my first gynae visit and results came back today. Googled about rubella antibody reactive and the results seems very worrying for my baby. Currently at week 13 going on 14 soon. Anyone can shed any light on this? 😭

Missed miscarriage

Is it possible to have a missed miscarriage after hearing the baby’s heartbeat at week 6? Due for an ultrasound next week and my first ultrasound was at week 6 when I heard the baby’s heartbeat. Just curious and anticipating since I have no pregnancy symptoms.

Hi mama, everything is possible. However, don’t scare yourself… I had no MS or pregnancy symptoms as well. On off sore boobs and my MS started at week 38. Just eat well, stay happy and look forward to your next check up 🥰

ART COVID POSITIVE

Im 11 weeks pregnant with a 6 month old baby. We both got tested positive and had high fever, flu and cough. What should we do. 😭 Help

For mummy visit GP to take pregnancy safe medicines for URTI. If you are breastfeeding or can breast feed (EBM/DL) then do it so baby can receive the antibodies from you. For baby, if fever, sponge baby/apply fever patch/give paracetamol (as per poly/PD’s advised dosage). As long as no SOB, it should be alright. GWS!

any home remedies for morning sickness?

hi mommies, this is my 2nd pregnancy but first time experiencing very bad morning sickness...ive been feeling nauseous throughout the whole day n vomiting after every meal :( is there any food or ways to get rid of it?

Try taking Diclectin pills. It worked wonders for me!
