Hiring helper for my baby coming in Jan 2024

I am planning to hire a helper to help take care of the baby once is here. However I am clueless of which helpers to select, I am thinking between Myanmar and Indonesia. I will be WFH 4 days a week so watching the helper is not an issue. Is it a good idea to pick a helper with no experience and new? #pleasehelp

NannyMoon Confinement

Hi! Has anyone ever used confinement nanny services from NannyMoon? I can’t seem to find any reviews and would like to understand others’ experiences with them 🙂

I did not end up going with NannyMoon because of their absence of reviews. However, I’d still be very cautious about choosing them. Just sharing my experience: their sales agent came to my home for a consult and surprised me because there was one more financial consultant who came with them (who was trying to promote his maternity packages together with the NannyMoon package). The sales agent was a very nice lady and she said that I could put a deposit of $400 and that it would be refunded to me within 7 days if I had a change of mind. I eventually had a change of mind and alerted them on 8 Apr. It’s now 24 Apr and I still have not received my deposit. I have very little clarity on why it is taking so long.

Lip tie Release Recommendation?

I notice my baby might have a lip tie. I’ve tried all sorts to get her to latch properly, but my nursing sessions with her are still painful. We looked into lip tie and tongue tie, and seems like she might have a lip tie. Any paediatric dentist or lactation consultant recommendations who does lip tie release? #pleasehelp

Baby wakes suddenly screaming

My six week old baby can be sleeping quietly but suddenly wakes screaming and flailing his arms and legs as though he had a very bad dream. I would pick him up and comfort him until he calms down and breathing slows down again. This only started yesterday and can occur in both day naps and night time sleep. In the past three hours tonight it has occurred four times and it’s getting alarming. Is he ok?

i either swaddle or lie them on their tummies but this really requires constant supervision to avoid SID

Fussy newborn baby who dont sleep

Hi, anybody can give me tips on why my newborn doesn't sleep? He is 6 weeks old, and he only sleep less than 10 hours in a 24 hour day. He kept doing heh heh heh sounds (i googled and it says is discomfort) i checked if he is hot, cold, needs a diaper change or not. But all is good. So i dont know why he kept heh heh heh and don't sleep. #help ##advicepls

It helps to ensure baby is fully burped after feeding, before being put to sleep. Sometimes they may be fussing about due to indigestion / gas in their stomach
