bringing LO to chinese funeral

hi all , is it ok if i bring my LO to my great grandmother funeral? his 5 months and his the great great grandchild

can, but the elders are asking me to bring LO to attend the last day only

better if you can avoid it.

actually may i know why cannot? what’s the superstition behind this?
