38 weeks Persistant cramps

I have been feeling persistant period like cramps for about 24/7 now texted my gynae and she ask me to go to KKH.. no dilation no contraction etc so they send me back Anyone have similar symptoms? and if yes how long later did u go into labour? cramps is there despite change of position and dull backache(no discharge, no bloody show)
