hello, how do you all do night weaning? my baby is 6months +. thank u.

Hi I think every baby differs and will eventually wean off their night feeds at their own pace. We shouldn't force them too much and make it too stressful for ourselves.is baby latching at night? What I know is babies who latch at night will wean off slower as they like to latch for comfort and sometimes breast milk is not as filling as formula. For me I tried to give my gal pacifier when she wakes up at night. She used to wake up twice to drink milk at night. I dropped off one feed by giving her the pacifier and slowly she doesn't wake for that feed. Recently she has started to eat more solids and one night she just managed to sleep through on her own. She still will Toss a little and make some noises and I will either hug her or give her pacifier and she will continue sleeping. I also know of mommy who slowly decreased the amount of feed they Give at night and slowly the baby doesn't even need the feed at all. Babies are like adults, they don't need the night feed to survive or grow actually

For me establishing a good bedtime routine to help my baby understand the difference between bed time and nap time helps my child to sleep through longer and slowly stopped waking up for night feeds.
For my baby he has a routine b4 bedtime. Just before he slp I actually will increase his milk amt so that he can last longer
