Selective Caesarean

Any mummies intend to go for selective c sect instead of the natural route. Having very bad anxiety issues, not quite if I can endure the long natural delivery process.

Amniocentesis because of short nasal bone.

Just a bit upset to find after our 20 week scan that the fetus has a hypoplastic nasal bone. Amniocentesis is a scary process with a 2 week waiting time and we will terminate if its down syndrome positive. Sending everyone love for their anxieties - not an easy time for anyone and I'm not feeling great that I'm signing up for a risky process. Feel like I'm failing the fetus already.

since week 12 I have been told that I am having a high risk for trisomy 21, 18 and 13. was advised to go for additional tests and decide on the next course of action. but no I am still going ahead with the pregnancy. now approaching week 20 and can't wait to see LO still being positive that it would be all good in my mid 40s

Maternity pants/shorts

Where can I buy good quality maternity pants and shorts in-store? (NOT leggings/tights) I do not prefer online shopping because of size and material issue (picky on quality of pants as I have dry skin).

Depressed Helpless FTM

Week 19. FTM Problems facing currently: 1. Haemorrhoid (the pile comes out even when I lying down or walking), feeling so uncomfortable. Whenever I push it in, I need to suck in my stomach and I worried it will affect the baby inside 2. Unable to pee “as happily as I could” as the pile will come out and I have the fear to push it in as it is painful 3. Midnight disaster due to my hubby’s loud and long snoring. I couldn’t get a good rest 4. Morning sickness lingering around(smell aversion to shampoo, certain food etc) 5. Stress of waking up early for work the next day 6. Don’t have any support from husband and family, no one could understand what I facing now. I could only cry and pray to god but it’s also helpless… HELP! I feel super depressed as I thought I have overcome the first trimester. Why problems still coming in my second trimester? When can I really enjoy my pregnancy journey??? I feel like giving up!!

Can you speak to a doctor regarding the haemorrhoid? Simple surgery will help I suppose? Can you or your husband sleep in another room? Then you get a peace of mind. I used unscented body and hair shampoo. I got it from Don Don donki. I heard you can get medication for serious morning sickness. Don’t cry too much. Get rest and get help. When nobody is there for you, your baby will always be with you, and you are your greatest cheerleader. Chin up and move on. Happy thoughts whenever you can!

My wife is currently 20 weeks preg, feeling emotional because she couldn't fit into most of her dresses. Any advice to make her feel better 😔

Shop for more! That’s what happed to me.. she will feel better, telling her she looks good in those new maternity wear

Feet and inner thigh pain

20 weeks and starting to have feet pain and difficulty wearing pants. Whenever I lift my right leg, there’s a stretched pain around my inner thigh/pubic area. A little apprehensive for when baby gets bigger as my job involved lots of moving and walking. Anybody has the same experience?

I felt the same pain for a few days between week 19-20. Now, I am in week 21, and the pain is on and off (much less often)!! During the last scan, Doctor said it was nothing to worry about as the baby is pushing. You can ask your doctor in next scan if the pain still remains in next few weeks.

21weeks and experienced lower abdominal pain

Today I am 21weeks and while working I experienced very sharp pain in lower abdomen, feels like period days but more intense. That very sharp pain lasted for less than 10mins and with from time to time also felt movement of my baby in the same area. Does anyone experienced this? Is it normal? The pain started in afternoon and lasted for hours (atleast the one I can tolerate) and it has combi of pain at my lower back as well. Hope to hear from other moms. #FirstimePreggy

I usually feel it but it doesn't last so long. better to check with the clinic

yes facing the same - the relaxin hormone is damn annoying and makes everything more painful

Pain under left breast

Is it common to have pain under left breast, near diaphragm muscle during 20weeks? Could anyone share reason for this?

ya I'm facing the same- its probably because of gas/the relaxin hormone causing problems. very annoying
