- 2025-09-18As mums, we’ve all felt the pressure, to “bounce back” after pregnancy, to eat “perfectly,” or to somehow fit into an image that just doesn’t feel sustainable. But the truth is, women’s bodies don’t respond to diets the same way men’s do... And the constant cycle of restrictions can do more harm than good.
In this Ask the Expert session, Dietitian Jodie Ang from PROLOGUE The Lifestyle Medical Clinic and PROLOGUE Centre for Women’s Wellness will answer your questions about:
- Why diets often fail women (it’s not your willpower!)
- How stress, hormones, and parenting realities affect your health
- Simple, parent-friendly shifts you can make for lasting energy and wellbeing
📅 18 – 25 Sept
📍 Exclusively in theAsianparent app

- 2025-09-18Hi can anyone please share with me your experience?
I have GBS positive & is scheduled for induction due to some medical reason. Can I know does your Dr give the IV antibiotics together with the induce medication at the same timing ?
Or only give the IV antibiotics first ? And only start to induce after the IV antibiotics cycle finish?

- 2025-09-18I'm a first time mom and flustered with lots of worries. Here's my story.. my period in aug came twice which i thought initially it could be due to "change of date" situation. 1st period was 5 days late 9-15 Aug then the 2nd one came on 24th spot then stop then start again on 27th onwards however it is a mild flow till I don't require a pad throughout (My period cycle has always been regular) I was concerned as the 2nd period came with no abdominal pain just sore breast & occasionally backache for more than 2 weeks and due to the length of the period i got worried as my husband & i are trying to conceive ever since we got married in Apr this year.. i was too afraid if there is an underlying health condition that I'm suffering. 2 weeks in, i decided to go to poly got myself checked.. cut story short, did a pregnancy test I'm positive and got a referral to KKH on the same day as doc afraid it could be a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Did ultrasound at hospital no sign of sac, did blood test my hcg was 158.2. Doc told me to come back again in 48hrs so that we able to check how far my pregnancy is progressing and if there's a slight decrease or major drop then that would rule out as miscarriage.. came back and thank god my hcg increased at its optimal as per doc.. it climbed at 344.9.. due to im still early in the pregnancy the dating ultrasound will be on the 29 Sep.. though i am so excited and happy that my pregnancy is going well so far with no more bleeding, just mild abdominal cramps occasionally, breast soreness and starting to get the morning sickness now.. i know how the first 3 months is crucial and i am so worry if anything i do would hurt my baby.. omg the list goes on.. i need some advice how can i stop this overthinking habit!! - 2025-09-20The current cycle as for today is 37 days since my last period. Usually my period will come every 30 days and it's always ON THE DOT for the past 2 or 3 years? I already took a pregnancy test and all came negative. Was low-key hoping I was pregnant cause I had some symptoms but I'm not... Kinda worried about my cycle, it's never this long. Should I head to the doc to get it checked? Or should I wait for another week or 2? Anyone had this issue before mind sharing ??? Thank you. #AskingAsAMom #Needadvice

- 2025-09-20Hi mummies, I’m a first time mom to be here and a bit worried about my pregnancy. Currently I’m in my 9w and have had a constant nausea since 7w. However, today I found that I had a greenish thick vaginal discharge, twice in a day. It has a bit stingy smell. Anyone experiencing the same and should I rush to my gynae? Thank you in advance🙏🏻 #askmommies #firsttimemom #pregnancy
