2025-09-02Hello mommies! I had my detailed ultrasound yesterday at KKH for FTS screening to check for abnormalities etc at 13 weeks. The scan went on for about 15 to 20 minutes in total. I've had 3 previous caesareans done (1st emergency, 2nd and 3rd were elective) and this morning I woke up to my 3-year-old wound with two open dry wounds (no bleeding but its like a 1 cm cut x 2) where the stitch was. It could be due to the pressure exerted on the tummy and scar during the scan yesterday. The scan was uncomfortable and a little on the painful side. I flagged it up to the sonographer though. It was okay over time but didnt expect this to happen. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm not sure if I should be worried or let it pass. 😪
2025-09-02My company is cutting my hours because I will be going on maternity leave. Can they do that according to MOM? Anybody knows? They did that last time when I took maternity leave and now they're doing it again. Is it OK to do that according to MOM?
2025-09-02Lately my breasts have started to feel really engorged and painful, and it’s been so uncomfortable. I heard that using a breast pump can help relieve the pain and also prevent clogged ducts. I’m thinking about getting one, but there are so many brands out there and I’m a bit overwhelmed 😅. Mamas, could you share your experience? Which brand of breast pump do you think is the most cost-effective? Is it comfortable to use and easy to clean? I really hope to find one that’s practical without being too expensive.

I went to the polyclinic already, applied the ointment they gave me, and also tried warm compresses. But it’s been more than 2 weeks and it’s still there 😔. I feel so insecure to go out with it. My daughter is 5 years 5 months old, left-handed, and overall doing fine but she always put on her shoes on the wrong feet, when she writes letters and numbers, she often writes them in a mirrored way. I noticed that she has been writing like this since she was 4 years old but during that time her teachers have said it’s normal. I’ve attached a picture in this post for reference. Now her teacher feels it’s still within the normal range, but I’d really like to hear from parents here — when did you first notice signs of dyslexia in your children, and how did you tell it apart from normal development? 2025-09-03I'm 37 weeks pregnant now. Planning to send my baby to IFC in Jan 2026 when my maternity leave is ending. However, almost all the IFC around my area (and a bit further away) are full and can't give me an estimated length of the waitlist. Only one came back to say their earliest vacancy is in May 2026 and I can pay a deposit to secure the slot. It's not my top choice as it's not as convenient, but I guess no choice cos I'm staying in punggol 🙃 Not sure if I should secure the slot in May as that means I have to find an alternative between Jan-May. And if another nearer IFC has vacancy before that I would definitely switch so not sure if it's "fair" to "chope". Are the IFC just waiting for me to update my child's birth cert details before opening up slots for us? What's the likelihood of being able to enrol my child in another IFC before May.. Feeling anxious as a #firsttimemom appreciate any advice!

2025-09-04It may sounds silly. But I do curious if I have large portion meal will it hurt the baby in womb? I m so used to my intermittent fasting and big portion meal. Sometime it’s so hard for me to know what’s the correct portion size for me. Does any one know is the baby gonna be run of space if I put too much food and liquid in my stomach? 😩😩

2025-09-04Anyone have ever gone to therapy? For the sake of family and child. Currently a mom of 3. Trying to my best to become the best mom / wife. I think i needed this therapy so much. There's so much i hide it within, there's so much i wish i could be better. I needed it to be the best model for my children. Anyone thinks the therapy will work? As i've read before, some therapist will often share your stories and mock you behind your back and also , they are not actually helping you but its just they talk based on common sense. Please help a mom here, thank you in advance. :) furthermore , i dont have anyone around me whom i can trust , my parents have moved on. so i hoping , i could at very least seek help from therapist thank you
